Cadeler has taken delivery of Wind Mover, its tenth wind turbine installation vessel, in Copenhagen.
The company said the M-class newbuild will mobilise before heading directly into operations in Europe.
Wind Mover is the second vessel in the series following Wind Maker and was built at the Hanwha Ocean Shipyard in Korea, according to Cadeler.
The design involved cooperation with partners including Hanwha Ocean, ABB, Kongsberg, GustoMSC and Huisman.
Cadeler said the vessel is equipped with a 2,600-tonne main crane, a DP2 positioning system and can operate in water depths of up to 65 metres.
Wind Mover is already contracted for work in Europe.
“The delivery of Wind Mover, ahead of schedule, represents another step in our long-term strategy to operate the most advanced and versatile fleet in the offshore wind sector,” said Cadeler chief executive officer Mikkel Gleerup.
“With both Wind Mover and Wind Maker now delivered, we are well-equipped to meet the scale and complexity of global offshore wind projects,” Gleerup said.
Cadeler said five newbuild vessels delivered this year have doubled its fleet from five to ten, with a 12-vessel fleet expected by mid-2027.
